SODDO:
It was sweet, intense, loving, gracious and oh, so comfortable! The ASU-team came, deposited such energy and drive, challenged us beyond the daily demands of serving and stimulated mind, heart and soul to think far outside the limited view in the Wolaitta Valley…..!
I often think it is easier to leave than to stay behind - so much to be confronted with: easy and complicated - an interesting contrast! So, when the bus drove away with our newly found treasured friends, a deep sigh of satisfaction and thankfulness allowed me to realize that we have such special moments briefly in our lives!
We fellowshipped, brainstormed, dreamed, investigated, observed, laughed, cried, questioned and watched each other journey through intense and unknown experiences captured in new shapes every moment of every day. It was as though we were all prepared for this and yet found ourselves surprised at the wonder of it all! You listened to the stories, the visions & dreams with such patience, I was amazed! You observed so much more than I anticipated and at times, I wondered just how deep you are truly seeing, because your curiosity was on high alert and I admired that!
May this only be the beginning of delight - joy in the gathering, peace in the differences and such unconditional love in togetherness!
THANK YOU for each of your deposits of grace and encouragement which left a lasting affect!
YES, and then a little taste: For your next hamburger, make your own bun!!
CIABATA
3 cups lukewarm water
1.5 tablespoons yeast (granules)
1.5 tablespoons corase salt
2 tablespoons honey
6.5 cups natural white flour
_Warm water slightly, sprinkle yeast on top, add salt & honey.
_Mix in the flour, kneeding is NOT needed. Just mix lightly, store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and only bake what is needed OR
_Shape rolls in your hands, lay on cookie sheet, let rise until double in size, then bake at pre-heated oven: about 350 degrees until light brown on top!
(TIPS: Use this batter for a variety of breads: add raisins & nuts OR make your own cinnamin buns: roll flat, sprinkle the mix, then roll up into one long roll, cut in slices, pack in dish, let rise, then bake in same medium heat as other breads).
ENJOY!!
In Him,
Stephne
